Marching bands and school orchestras are often the first place where brass and woodwind players get their start, but with personalized one-on-one training at Avalon we can accelerate your learning and enable you to meet your goals. We teach many brass and woodwind instruments, including the trombone, trumpet, tuba, euphonium, baritone horn, flute, clarinet, saxophone and more. Our lessons are designed to help develop beginner musicians and challenge skilled performers. Not only will you be able to perform on stage, but you’ll also learn how to develop as a musician as well.

What styles of brass & woodwinds do you teach?
Our private lessons provide one on one instruction on the exact techniques required for you to become an accomplished player and performer whether you are a lover of Swing, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Classical, or Big Band music. Emphasis is placed upon a relaxed approach to tone production and the proper use of air and embouchure to produce a musical sound. 

How qualified are your brass & woodwinds instructors?
Our friendly instructors are highly qualified graduates of conservatories and schools of music with a passion for music and more importantly a passion for teaching. They are also experienced, professional musicians who are dedicated to providing personalized lessons to motivate you to keep practicing and having fun.

Our academy is committed to students of all ages and ability levels, giving you access to the best quality instruction, ensemble opportunities and performance experiences. Whether you are a beginner, interested in playing in an orchestra or a band, need to prepare for an upcoming event, or want to take your playing to the next level, we can help you achieve goals. Students also have the opportunity to participate in recitals, repertoire and ensemble groups. 

Do I need to purchase a brass & woodwinds to learn the instrument?
Yes, you will need your own instrument. Our director can help you choose the best instrument. Please call or email us for advice.

Guitar Lessons
Avalon's guitar instructors teach rock, blues, metal, country, and classical styles on both electric & acoustic guitars.

Piano Lessons
Whether you aspire to play Bach or Alicia Keys, Avalon's dedicated piano teachers will help you become the pianist you want to be.

Drum Lessons
At Avalon our drum rooms also have bass setups and teachers play along with students to get the groove going.

Ukulele Lessons
Our ukulele teachers teach folk, country, pop, reggae and rock-n-roll styles.

String Lessons
Our string teachers bring a blend of reading, technique, and theory to keep lessons fun and interesting.

Bass Lessons
We teach rock, blues, and country bass along with reading and theory for electric bass.
